Forschung
Dr. Vogiatzaki ist Historikerin und beschäftigt sich mit der Politik von Architektur und gebauter Umwelt in der Frühen Neuzeit.
Forschungsinteressen:
- Politik der architektonischen Imagination, visionäre Projekte, Utopien, Träume (im wörtlichen und literarischen Sinne), religiöse Visionen und Raum (1650-1830). Derzeit arbeitet Dr. Vogiatzaki an einer Monografie über eine alternative Geschichte der visionären Architektur in der Aufklärung.
- Archipele als geographische und staatliche Formationen in der Aufklärung. Das Ägäische Archipel und der östliche Mittelmeerraum im langen 18. Jahrhundert. Kolonialverwaltung von Neufrankreich. Plantagen in der Karibik. Indigene Regierungsformen, religiöse Minderheiten, Diplomatie, katholische Infrastrukturen, Piraterie, Handel, Ressourcenausbeutung.
- Geschichtsschreibung der Architektur des 18. Jahrhunderts: Autorenbias, die Herausforderung der Zuschreibung zu Einzelautor*innen, Arbeitsbedingungen, die das Geschichtsschreiben ermöglichen. Formen kollaborativer Autor*innenschaft. Kollektive. „Mittelmäßige“ Architekt*innen und die Frage nach dem „Genie“. Wer und was sollte in die Geschichte einbezogen werden? Archivarische Hindernisse.
- Geschichten von Geschlecht, Sexualität und Raum. Können wir von einer queeren Aufklärung sprechen? Weibliche Einflussnahme auf die Gestaltung der gebauten Umwelt. Formen weiblichen Widerstands. Mystik und Entschöpfung. Libertinismus und Abweichung
